An earnest, accident-prone Coast Guard officer and his sharp sailing teacher girlfriend run afoul of three bumbling thieves who are trying to retrieve a picnic basket filled with stolen jewels in Disney's buoyant comedy caper.
Robert Morse, Stefanie Powers, Phil Silvers, and Wally Cox set sail for laughs with an all-star cast and crew. The comedy never runs aground when the Coast Guard's cockeyed Ensign Garland (Morse) takes command.
